All I want to hear is one Bama fan admit the only thing that gave them a shot at winning was blown call after blown call after blown call.

You can wait on that while I wait on one UGA fan admit the only reason they beat GS was that inadvertent whistle on the muffed punt a few years back that no ref would man up to....

Still had plenty of chances to win the game, but offensively went numb.

The offsides looked good, I understand the call, sometimes you just assume something went wrong when that happens. I remember I think it was a Rutgers game one of their LBs jumped the line on 4th and goal and tackled the QB before handing it off, he was called offsides but replay showed he was onsides. As far as the false start, he's breaking as the ball is snapping. The moment he starts moving forward the ball is on it's way to the QB, that's an amazing jump.

So your case against the refs is getting jobbed on an offsides and a few missed flags. I'm sure UGA benefitted from a few missed flags as well.

FWIW- I don’t really want to hear the “why is bama in the cfp ?” anymore... I mean they have beyond deserved the benefit of the doubt.

The refs missed a false start on the would be blocked punt. If called correctly the play is whistled dead anyway. The result was never a blocked punt. The face mask and personal foul were pretty clear blunders though.

Probably was. It's long been a joke that conferences have their refs protect their own teams.

Its a false start. Not really debateable, but he wasn't offsides. It looked like it at first glance, but it wasn't.

There wasn't a ton going UGA's way other than a few questionable holds, but it was pretty slanted Bama's way.

UGA STILL had plenty of chances to win though. Fromm can't take that sack in OT, and they needed shorter passes to move the chains in the second half.

I hate Chubb couldn't get anything going, the holes were closing so fast it set up much better for Michel (who may be the better NFL back).

Bama also got a very, very questionable PI penalty that extended their game tying drive. Considering how much contact Bama defenders were getting away with against Georgia wideouts all game, that wasn't close to PI.

I realize PI is very much a judgment call, all I ask is that it be called evenly. There was so little contact on that play and the ball was uncatchable no matter what. The Bama receiver just fell down. Calling that PI after not flagging much, much worse contact all game was absurd.

I didn't catch the replay, but in full speed it looked iffy at best. It looked like they got tangled up to me. But like I said, that was full speed and it wasn't zoomed in on them til late in the play.

Bama fans I know keep saying "I'm sure they missed calls against Georgia too." And I'm sure they did. There were the countless iffy holds and arguable PI calls by both teams that went uncalled. Those are the kind of calls that are missed in every game.

What upsets me is that every one of the major, obvious, game changing calls went against Georgia. These aren't run of the mill blown calls. These were huge points in the game and every time they benefited the Tide.

If I recall, the offsides on the block punt have mattered right? Didn't they call a false start on Bama?

They could have called false start but Georgias player was definitely not offsides. So at worst the refs took away a blocked punt. At best they cost the Dawgs 10 yards of field position.

That's not fair, without the jump maybe the punter gets a better punt off.

???

Georgia's player timed his jump perfectly. A couple Bama players maybe twitched in reaction to him coming a split second before the snap. The Georgia player then blocked the punt.

The best Bama should have gotten was a 5 yard penalty. But instead it was 5 against Georgia. The next snap was punted without issue.

I doubt being 10 yards further back yields better results for Bama.

This is correct. Zito is not.

People want to burn him at the stake before any actual truth comes out. This trial by social media crap is majority of the issues we face as a country.
