Why would you not go for the tie in the 4th quarter? Auburn could run this thing down under 4 minutes and extend its lead.

Because if you fail you can switch off the momentum. ALso throw out a hypothetical, if they go for it and fail, Auburn is a TD away from making it a 2 score game. By not going for 2 you virtually guarantee that it's a one score game when you get the ball back (unless Auburn went for 2 and succeeded)

Don't worry: employing the logic of gilesfan, FSU didn't win by nearly as much as they were supposed to, which virtually and effectively invalidates this victory and accompanying national title.

As an SEC guy, I give less than a damn about the SEC's streak. To hell with any team that wears orange. Auburn deserved every bit of that comeback.

But yea, FSU sure did steamroll Auburn didn't they?

Also: as a UF fan, I award no congratulations to FSU, and may your various deities rain unkind tidings upon their program.

FSU couldn't possibly have played worse and still won. Suck on that, SEC homers. Dropped passes, dumb penalties all night long. Every freaking call went Auburns way, including the non horse collar and FSU still pulled it out.

Maybe next year the SEC can have a few more over rated teams that just don't show up to bowl games because "they aren't motivated." Saw what happened when they played legitimate teams and not Duke, Rice, or backup QBs.
