Costco

Mobile is getting their first Costco later this year. Thinking about getting membership there when it opens later in the year. Somebody tell me a bit about them.

It's worth it especially if you have a family. I'm a Sam's Club member. The discounts on gas alone pay for the membership.

I'm a Costco member and it's a good deal. I'm back to the basic membership after have the gold membership for a few years. The upgraded membership didn't pay for itself in the rebate, so I went back to the basic. Lots of bargains. Good high-quality stuff. The Kirkland house brand is solid. 100% cotton dress shirts for $20. Great deals on meat and cheese.

Two big hints: (1) Don't go when you're hungry, and (2) They have the strategy of moving things around a ton so you see more items while you are shopping for the things you usually buy.

Figure 300 bucks minimum every time you enter the place. I used to call it the $200 store, but no more. They are pro liberal, pro democrats and anti gun, if that bothers ya. A fine place for family shopping as mentioned.

Haha, I am actually getting ready to ride over to Costco right now to stock up on a few things. Wholeheartedly recommend becoming a member.

Will add some more thoughts later on.

In context, does this mean anything? Does it matter?

It's true, expect $200-300 per visit when stocking up on items.

The deals they offer at the food court are just cruel. $10 for a large pizza? $1.50 for a hotdog and large drink? They are also made with addictive chemicals.

Costco pizza is legit

No Costcos here in Central Illinois, but we do have Sam's Club and it is wonderful. Cheapest place that we've found for baby formula, and their produce/clothing never disappoint. Just be ready, as others have said, to check out with only 5-10 items in your cart and have your bill hit triple digits.
