Could Liberty Media Sell The Braves Within The Next Couple Years?

Obviously this is some speculation and anything is far from concrete, but it has been almost a year since, even while owned by Liberty Media, the Braves became their own company and went public. Was that setting the stage for a possible new owner? Time will tell. Until then, wouldn’t really worry until something is in the offing.

If he didn't get into it when AOL Time Warner sold, I'd have a hard time believing he would now well over a decade later.

Dudes getting older and wants to win a ring. Braves offer him a better opportunity at that than the Falcons anytime soon. He could just sell the Falcons and buy the Braves. Lol.

My only issue is the Hands-On Blank/Jerry Jones owner probably doesn't work as well in baseball.

Hal Steinbrenner wasn't as loud as George. Cohen is spending a ton with no results and now putting his money on baseball minds.

If you had the money, you'd be a fool not to buy a sports team. Especially one as popular as the Braves are in the South. Sports team values have more than tripled in the last 20-30 years. Some teams have sold as much as 10-15 times more than what they were bought for in the early-mid 90's. Plus you get to count any losses off on taxes.

Arthur blank

Arthur Blank is a great owner who deserves something much better than a cursed Falcons franchise. I wish he bought the team 20 years ago.

Unfortunately, he’s 81 now and I would be surprised if he has the energy to take on another active ownership role.

Maybe Dan Cathy will buy them. We could take Sundays off and make sure all the black players have nice shiny shoes.
