First Wagner was **** in the post season, career 10.03 ERA in 14 appearances, and only 3 saves. As the "3rd best" of his era I don't think he is a lock. And if you're comparing to modern closers, guys like Kimbrel, Chapman and Jansen are going to lap Wagner in WAR shorly.

Rollins at 12% are there that many Faillies fans voting
 
I don't think Helton deserves to be in the Hall and shouldn't ever pace higher than a good number of guys on that list. Here are two players:

Player A: played 1B, 54.9 fWAR, .414 OBP, 1.14 BB/K, 369 HR, 37 SB, .953 OPS, 132 wRC+

Player B: played OF, 54.8 fWAR, .400 OBP, 1.42, 287 HR, 109 SB, .902 OPS, 136 wRC+


These two were very, very similar hitters with almost identical fWAR.

Player A is Todd Helton, Player B is Brian Giles.

Helton is likely going to the Hall, Brian Giles was one and done on the ballot.

Since it is the Hall of Fame, and not the Hall of Top Statistics, Helton gets a boost for basically being Mr. Lifetime Rockie. That's not my opinion, I just think because he's one of the last one-team Lifers you'll see, writers still love old traditions. Helton would be hall of very good like Giles, but because the Rockies have nobody with the C in the Hall yet, Helton will be the first and probably only one for a long while.

Most people that don't show their votes are usually small hall guys. Not sure if Rollen makes it in this year. Druw getting to 60% bodes extremely well for future voting.

Isn't Larry Walker in the hall as a Rockie? Walker was much more deserving than Helton and yet it took Walker a decade to get in.

Problem with that is multiple people have retired after Helton and been one clubbers too

David Wright, Joe Mauer, Yadi, Matt Cain, King Felix (yeah he signed with other teams but never made the bigs) Ryan Zimmerman, Andre Ethier, Glenn PErkins, Dustin PEdroia, John Danks, Ryan Braun, Alex Gordon, Chris Tillman, Buster Posey, and Kyle Seager. Multiple of those guys are legit hall of famers, Posey and Yadi for example. And likely greats to join that like Wainwright, Kershaw, Trout (though Trout may finally go at some point) and Wainwright.

Heltons peak was far superior to Giles peak. Giles was pretty good at a lot of things, Helton was Great at a few things.

It’s pretty remarkable how much of an afterthought Manny Ramirez has become. His peak is right up there with the best RH hitters ever. At the time, he was probably the most famous player on the 2024 curse breaking Red Sox teams. He was also on the cover of the best MLB video game ever.

His is a pretty convincing case why steroid shunning is effective.
 
Andruw Jones ended up getting 58% of the vote. Have to think now that he's made it this far, he will definitely get in within the next few years
