This has been in the works for over 30 years (reports of Bush41 administration beginning talks) and overdue for 50

anything a POTUS does is a "political purpose"
That is the job description

The embargo had long outlived it's usefulness and was simply a cruel dinosaur

I forget the mans name that had been a Cuban prisoner for years that was released and at the center of the PR
