Cubs game 1

Oh yeah! I forgot Sobotka was called back up

I did too but after it came to me I was more annoyed by the Dayton move. Just rest Dayton today and send Sobotka back. Then have Newk replace Wright tomorrow. Snit probably thinks you cannot have that many lefties in a pen, regardless if some can get out both righties and lefties.

Sobotka's last game in AAA he gave up 4 runs in 1 inning on 2 hits, a homer and hit two batters. He took the loss in doing so.

Snitker is not going to do it the way you want. He has starters and reserves. The end. He said it explicitly the other night.

“You want it one way, but it’s the other” to paraphrase Marlo Stanfield.

Complain away but he doesn’t see it your way.

I’m with you on more matchup plays though Camargo/Riley/acuna outfield is really asking for incompetence.

The lineup order doesn’t make a damn bit of difference though it’s not what I’d do.

I’m a lot less critical of Snitker than many around here; but if what you say is the case, and he’s that inflexible re matchups and depth, then the Braves need a new manager who isn’t so obdurate.

Good luck firing someone coming off back to back divisions who has beat projected wins every season and has the full respect of the locker room and team leaders.

I’d probably prefer different tactics.

Umm the Braves haven’t won back to back divisions.

Not saying it'll happen; just saying what they need.

If only batters were rewarded for mediocre groundballs to middle-infielders, Kakes would be a double Hall-of-Famer.
