Well the worst broadcaster in MLB (Joe Simpson) is finally (mostly) out of the booth, so now the Braves are just stuck with one of the ten worst (in Chip). At least Chip's maladroitness is hilarious, though, and he's not just a tired, bitter, ignorant old curmudgeon (like Joe).
 
Realistically this series should have always been seen as tough. The Cubs are a first place team who are playing well, and we’re on the road. Even before today I would have said a four game split would be a success.

Well he's wrong a lot of times for one. He uses the same old, boring catch phrases like every game. He says "Shift that!" Every time someone gets a hit off the shift. Every. Single. Time.

He's just a terrible announcer that doesn't add value to the broadcast.
 
Three of our five starters have been really bad...not bad...really bad (yes I know Julio had a really good stretch until his last few starts).

Our two good performers are rookies basically.

We better hope DK finds his old feel.

I would hope. At the same time, Newk has not been able to prove he can be a starter...Gausman and Folty have been sent down. You can’t count on Julio for being anything more than a five. Wright is a still very inconsistent. Touki hasn’t done well as a starter.

I think it comes down to Wilson doing well.

It’s just going to really bite, if we have all these prospects and still end up giving away one of Waters/Pache because we still need starting pitching...even AFTER signing DK.
 
Should we go ahead and post GDT for today’s game. I mean we already know who is playing and where they hit. Just don’t let State start it again.

Weigel is yet to regain his control also. I think by next year he will be hard to handle though.

Weigel could be a late summer pen addition as well as he approaches an innings limit.
