I certainly don't believe in free abortions. I think besides that all the other free stuff already exists in most states for poor folk. I know in my state all of that is free for eligible families. Or at least incredibly cheap. All one needs to find is a social worker these days.

I say let's just cut off the private parts of all men who aren't paying child support or greatly behind in paying. I can go for women having their tubes tied as long as the men are forced to do the same or they face life in prison.

No one is talking about JOBS! Maybe just maybe if the government provided free job training, childcare, and transportation these people will not need welfare. Cutting benefits won't do anything but have some or most of these people commit crimes. If you want them robbing you and your family then have at it.

Of course we had our little private conversation, but honey, you nailed it with this post. They do not understand us. You and I are privileged, the both of us, but we also grew up with family with REAL problems and even you explaining my sister failings opened my eyes and I thank you for that, because what you said is true.

Now I bold a few things and this is what I would love to see. None of these so called Democrats never utter these words. They want to attack any Republican with smears and what not but ignoring what you've posted. I might sound like a Conservative due to my anti church gay marriage and my anti abortion because I believe it is murder but I agree with the things you said in this post, which is probably the best post about dependency that ever been posted on this site or the old site. No one and I mean no one endured what you've been through. Now we know the whole story even though I knew all along as I saw it growing up myself.

The WHITE Democrats need to wake up and quit attacking Conservatives and fix your own backyard on the blacks that vote for you. Republicans is not going to do it, I can guarantee that, but you aren't helping either. You keep blacks down and feed them carrots so they continue to vote for you even though socially they do not agree with you. We need more help not just a trickle here and trickle there. My Jersey friend here told you what we need, so what are you going to do about it?

Now this lady, my siblings bio mom has served her time and trying to get on her feet. She attends college, but with no income she uses her loan money and prostitutes her body for $ to get to class & live. She worked hard in jail to get her GED but because of her background she can't get a job. What should she do just kill herself? No one wants to give her an opportunity to work. It's not easy for someone who has made bad choices in life to pull themselves up because we condemn them for their poor choices in life and won't give them a chance.



All I'm saying is that it's not race, class etc. what affects one person really does affect all of us as a society. Taking welfare programs away is not going to help anyone. It's just going to create starvation of children, homelessness, crimes, and death.

Free birth control, abortions, education, childcare, job placement/training, and transportation is the way to go! I don't mind using my tax money and paying even more taxes for these things if it will help people.

This is where the Republicans truly fail, but the Democrats are just a little bit better by saying if you did your time you shouldn't be punished for life. A felony regarding murder, extreme violence or sexual assault I can understand, but other things should not affect getting a decent job because in the end if you deny that person a chance to live life and take care of their family, then you will pay in the end regardless through welfare. I believe some people do not want welfare to be giving at all and not know the consequences of that will be ANARCHY and MURDER to keep food on the table and a roof over their head. The church can only do so much and they are stretched thin as it is and Democrats even want to pinch them on that and you can't count on family as well.
