I was thinking given the Abbas/Hamas canoodling that he could have waited for the dust to settle on that before saying what he said.

I'm no unabashed supporter of the state of Israel, but I agree on their right to exist (regardless of the diplomatic artificial insemination that birthed the state). I've long been a supporter of the two-state solution, but the timing is just so off on Kerry's statement. At least to me.
