“Deion’s Double Play”

If you’re watching the ESPN 30 for 30 show, you might have just saw a promo for their next film. Looks like going to be about when Deion Sanders played for both the Braves and Falcons on the same day. It will air January 31. I, for sure, will be watching.

Deion is my all-time sports hero so I'll definitely tune in! Didn't he catch a Hail Mary as a WR to win a game for the Falcons in one game? I was young so I barely remember something about it.

that was so good. dude is hilarious. wish he and schuerholz/bobby had a better understanding of things. flying all the way back to pittsburgh just to sit on the bench was such a waste. forgot he hit so well in the '92 series...thats amazing

My thoughts watching the Deion Sanders documentary?

1. Mark Duper still played for the 92 Dolphins? I would never have guessed that. Looking back at pro football reference, it was both his and Clayton's last year with the team. Who'd a thunk?

2. I had mostly forgotten just how pissed off the organization was with Deion playing football, which is funny, because it was kind of the whole point of the controversy.

3. I don't remember how I felt about Deion playing football now. Odds are, I was probably very annoyed, but not as pissed as JS.

4. I absolutely remember not feeling sorry for Tim McCarver at all. I think the TV broadcast probably beat it so far into the ground that it was infuriating.

5. I still sort of hate Jim Gray.

6. I'm still pissed about Otis Nixon ending the World Series with a bunt.

7. Deion really is an ass all things considered, but he was a pretty fun one as they go.

I finally watched this. It gave me great pleasure to see Schuerholz painted as the villain of this story.

Make no mistake though, Deion is an ass as well.
