On a side note - the one other bright side this year is how strong our bench is. Pretty awesome having a bench player like Murphy that can grind out roughly 4 starts every 8 calendar days or so.
While he is good enough to DH, given the concern of bench players being exposed with extensive looks, its probably the right move to keep him more limited to a bench role with just spot starts.
AA really saw the bench weakness this offseason and now its clear to me why we went and got murphy.
