Down Right Dirty Politicians

I first titled this "Dirty Republicans", but when it comes to sure 'nuff ugly corruption, it's all the same to me. And there is so much to choose from on any typical news day and really, it doesn't matter what stripe they are. All real accounts of dirty low-down politicians welcome.

Some say Matt Gaetz showed his Congressional colleagues on the House floor nude photos of girls he was sleeping with. So he's that kind of a guy. Color me unsurprised.

Gaetz showed nude photos of women he said he'd slept with to lawmakers, multiple sources tell CNN

Have we reached the part of the sex scandal where the GOP ask for his resignation like with Cuomo, or are they still cool with the double standard?

Women told the FBI they took MDMA with Gaetz, had sex with him and received cash. One was asked to sleep with his friend; another to procure girls. DOJ is also examining whether he & his friends slept w.the 17-yr-old in the Greenberg case.

What’s also interesting is the investigation into Gaetz began last year near the end of Trump's term while Barr was serving as US attorney general.

“The Times has reviewed receipts from Cash App, a mobile payments app, and Apple Pay that show payments from Mr. Gaetz and Mr. Greenberg to one of the women, and a payment from Mr. Greenberg to a second woman. The women told their friends that the payments were for sex with the two men, according to two people familiar with the conversations.”

I'm fine with Gaetz going away with obscurity.

Does racist tulu call for Cuomo to go away as well?

Gaetz is very pro-legalization so in that sense I hate to e losing him. Also from what I have read the human trafficking part is BS. We desperately need to change human trafficking laws because they are being used to insane levels. Give your neighbor a ride and unbeknown to you she's a hooker, congrats your now a human trafficker according to the law. Yet somehow when a cop falsely arrests a person, transports them to jail, then locks them in a cage is not considered human trafficking. Go figure.

Get lost losers- as long as there is evidence to support the claims.

Gtfo- immediately

You should really stop projecting your flaws on to me. I’m not responsible for your flaws and actions in this world.

If you had any sort of reading comprehension skills you’d know I called for Cuomo’s resignation when his scandal became public. If you spent as much time reading as you do posting you’d know that. But your lack of reading comprehension is just one of your many flaws.

Sure sure, little man.

Glad you want the mass murdering rapist Cuomo out of office.

If gaets is guilty I want that loser in prison

If the FBI has been investigating this since last summer they should know whether these girls were underage at the time or not. The NYT is gonna look bad if there is no evidence that Gaetz was doing minors.

The expression of realization.

Our system is set up to elect the most narcissistic or sociopathic people possible. The most successful campaigns usually require doing a lot of things most people find distasteful. This ranges from things as simple as asking people to give you money to as dirty as running targeted smear campaigns and spreading lies about an opponent. If you can't bring yourself to do something your opponent will do, there's a good chance you lose. So narcissists and sociopaths have a leg up and the higher the office the greater the advantage.

It’s never good to rush to conclusions, but man is it easy to believe Gaetz is a creep.

I'm not quite so cynical as all that, but it does take a high level of egoism and ambition. While most people drawn to public service are sincere, there are certainly some bad apples. But Trump was such a blatant narcissist and sociopath that like flies to **** he surely attracted some real creeps into the political arena. Or was Trump himself just a fly to the stench?

Unless Matt Gaetz actually broke the law and there is evidence, it's just a smear campaign. But let's remember, smear campaigns can be themselves quite legal and all part of the game. Not a good idea for a freshman Congressman to make so many enemies. I'm sure Trump would've protected him if he had the chance.

the accusations against him seem minor

Well this one doesn't concern social mores. It is more political in nature. The new one is anthropological.
