Easter game thread vs Phillies

Why? We’ve got Smyly.
I don’t get the smyly hate. Perfectly good play for a team looking for upside. Probably paid a couple million extra to get him locked up early. So what?

The thing I asked about all year was being a bat short. If cf and 3b can’t hit then that’s a problem. I don’t see why smyly stopped that from happening.

If the Braves have no money then the Smyly signing absolutely stopped that

Because we are broke and he was unnecessary.

Rough call for Acuna, but the umps aren’t the reason the Braves have scored 3 runs in 28 innings. The main reason I want robo umps is to stop the moronic complaints from fans about biased umps.

Anderson looked good at least.

I understand will probably never see remote umping but missed calls like that just can't be accepted when they impact games this badly. My proposed compromise - teams should get [2] ball / strike challenges per game that can only be used on a called strike 3 or ball 4 in the 7th inning or later.

We can make excuses that’s an embarrassing sweep at the hands of a not very good Phillies squad. A ton of bad luck but they also dumped on our hitters.
