Easter game thread vs Phillies

I think something that needs to be taken into account with the Smyly signing is that every pitcher is coming off a reduced workload and other than Fried everyone in the rotation has questions. Injury for Soroka Age for Morton and Experience for Anderson Wright and Wilson. We’ll need the innings.
 
We can talk about whether we should have gotten another bat instead of Smyley but pretty much all of our bats struggled this series including some I have no doubts about. Jackie Bradley Je. Would do nothing if we weren’t getting anything out of Freddie, Ozzie, Acuna, and Ozuna. I don’t know if it will win the division for us but those guys are not going to keep getting shut down.

Fried also has injury/blister concerns
 
Ivan at TC did a good job summing up this opening series:

"The Braves got mauled by ball-in-play shenanigans on Thursday, were straight-up dominated in once-in-a-decade-ish fashion on Saturday, and were edged on Sunday despite, like in the opener, having considerably better offensive inputs than their opponents."

So two doses of bad/horrid luck and a fantastic Wheeler outing have the Braves 0-3.

Avg Exit Velo was 90.8 (4th in baseball) .228 expected BA .440 expected slugging

Ended up at .128 BA and .223 slugging

Phillies -
85.1 Exit Velo (28th in mlb) hit .260 and slugged .344
