If the whole picture is AI and Robotics why do we give a shit about manufacturing toasters here?

Or are the tarrifs about raising huge revenues to replace income taxes?

Or are they about getting Canadian border agents?

Or are they about bringing toasters manufacturing back home?

Or are they about bringing China to its knees somehow?

Honestly the Trump team has played up every single one of the above as the goal

You’re right. We should just rule the world with an iron fist to protect American business from the evils of communism.

Let me know when you realize that the only thing that makes someone a good or a bad actor is their actions. Using our military to enforce our global economic domination because the market decided we’re a bad bet is simply not the action of a good actor, even if the opponent is China.

Nobody has brought more freedom to the world than the US. If we didn’t exist as a superpower we’d have much more suffering in the world. But we understand your worldview of white is bad drives your decision making.
 
Thethe, you know this is all bullshit. You constantly argue that the ends justify the means when it comes to whatever policy or view you’re supporting at a given moment. Right now, you care about Chinese peasants because it aligns with your goal of protectionist US trade policy. Did you not just endorse sending all Chinese nationals back to their country? Wouldn’t that be akin to sending them back to a slave state that’s the greatest threat to the world? Why would we subject young people to that government?

I care about people that haven’t done anything to deserve their suffering.

That means South African farmers being killed for being white.

That means non Muslims being slaughtered because they aren’t Muslims.

That means Chinese citizens living under tyranny for 50+ years.

It doesn’t mean Palestinians who support Hamas.

I’ve further went on to saying I envision a norther/central American manufacturing powerhouse.

If Palestinian children deserve their suffering because Hamas exists, everybody you’re describing is guilty for the sins of their ancestors/religion.

Fantastic move and deservedly so to access our market.

10% tariff is not meaningful for the individual consumer. On am aggregate basis it’s a nice revenue generation tool for the US.

How about their ancestors of the last five years? Just because children exist and born to hateful bigots doesn’t mean a response is forbidden. The deaths of these poor children are their parents fault.
