Certainly Nissan will get the memo soon that customers don’t pay tariffs
Yup. Certainly a good thing to have more domestic production. It just means everyone will pay a consumption tax to have that.Good thing Nissan is ramping up domestic production!
They gonna source all the parts here too?Good thing Nissan is ramping up domestic production!

Kind of a shame they didn’t really get around to meaningful income tax breaks for those who aren’t rich then. While having less income taxes because more jobs. Less government expenditure because private employers pay for insurance. More functioning family units.
But hey - only thing that matters is cheap goods.

Yes they do. If you tax people indirectly through tariffs and just pretend you’re collecting that money from China, you can campaign for re-election on “lower” taxes while revenue is unaffected! The consumption tax is very helpful in that regard.Certainly a good thing to have less government spending (unfortunately didn’t happen) and lower income tax.
Unlike your point of increasing domestic production (which is a good thing), neither of those have anything to do with making Americans pay a consumption tax
Well unfortunately with last week’s software patch, the messaging has shifted to trade deals with rest of the world to isolate China so we will no longer be financing the external revenue service.Yes they do. You are trying to say I didn’t say this was about China from the beginning. Tbe baseline 10% to access the US market will remain most likely and it should.

I’m saying the concept of the External Revenue Service replacing income tax is no longer the plan.

I'm seeing a noticeable increase with the trend line increasing
I like how you don’t even bother to want your government to tell the truth anymore. It was never going to happen anyway, but it must be much more relaxing to want the lies.I'm seeing a noticeable increase with the trend line increasing
But Trump always does this - Say it’s a lie or just his approach.
I’m just glad Bessent has taken control of the wheel and the message has shifted from E.R.S. It was nonsense from the beginning.I'm seeing a noticeable increase with the trend line increasing

You’re simply describing two lies and excusing one because you like his policies more.'Lie' is something like Biden is competent and is actually running the country.
'Fib (meaningless to every day lives)' 'We are taking in record amounts of tariffs'
