Reporter: Have you ever paid a tariff? I have. They don't get charged on foreign countries.

Eh - Thats poor on her part.
In no way should tariffs be looked at as a tax cut for Americans.
It should be phrased that coupled with resulting changes in the American economy Americans can see a net tax cut but it is not directly tied to tariffs.

When Honda Civics cost $60k, people won’t be bothered to try to understand the long term vision of the beauty of manufacturing toasters in the US. Press Secretary Leavitt should rip the bandaid off now.
I genuinely have no idea how you think we’re ever going to overcome our cost of labor.
The weird obsession this Administration has with the AP is baffling to me. They’re like the most benign media entity ever.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he is "probably so" going to reduce the recently increased tariffs on Canada after Ontario suspended a surcharge on electricity exports to the United States.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump discussed his decision to hike tariffs on U.S. imports, saying that he "had to do this."
He also said that markets are going to swing up and down over time, dismissing concerns that led to a sell-off. He said the tariffs were needed in order to get American jobs back and factories open.

Are you now on part where you interpret every little thing Trump says in the lens of 'he doesn't know what he is doing?'
And these plants should be opened here for the future production chain and that we can train our people how to work side by side int he economy of tomorrow.

I was at that part last year during the campaign when he talked about this stuff. I’m consistent if nothing else.
