Economics Thread

Surely we are all happy to see this right?

And who does this benefit the most? Yup - The same group of people that tariffs and onshoring will help the most.

First president in my lifetime that actually does things to help the working/middle class.

Once tax cuts are passed the working/middle class will have more in their pocket even with increased prices due ot tariffs. Then on a 5-10 year timeline as more manufacturing onshores the sky is the limit.

They haven’t done the fucking tariffs yet. We’re witnessing the Joe Biden economy still but with the added bonus of global panic over the most insane trade policy of our lives, which I guess does at least lower fuel prices due to unrest so that’s cool.

Yup - The Joe Biden economy.

Its all just random stuff taht at the end of the day will benefit the working/middle class more than anything we have seen in decades.

You are starting to see everything fall into place and well ahead of where we need to be from midterms. Just remember what I said - Q1 26 we are going to be BOOMING.

RANDOM!

I cannot stress enough that neither any tax cuts or extremely liberating tariffs have happened under Trump. Congrats on bringing down egg prices as we exited an avian flu, and I’ll even give him his flowers for taking actual steps to address shortages. But we aren’t doing any of the things he’s claiming to have done economically yet.

Yes - Trump has nothing to do with all the good things that seem to happen when Trump is president. This totally makes sense to the everyday man/woman.

You can’t have it both ways. It can’t be the case that Joe Biden torched the economy so bad that we shouldn’t expect to see results in 100 days but also Trump’s so good at economics that he’s fixed the country from ruin in that same amount of time.

Oh the economy is far from fixed - Its on the path of being fixed thanks to the greatest president in our nations history.

Rocky road to trek for the remainder of the year. Panicans will not be able to handle it.

Good things aren’t happening economically. If you want to give him credit for increased deportations and decreased border crossings, I understand. If you want to give him credit for reducing the federal workforce, I understand. If you want to give him credit for the economy, you’ll need to point to actual things he’s done to fix it and account for the market crash he ushered in this week that’s only partially better because he’s not doing *his* policy for 90 days.

But can you see how that’s not what you’re saying directly above this? You’re asking for us to believe he’s done some miraculous thing while simultaneously acknowledging that things won’t get miraculously better this year.

To fix what was done by the Obama regime and overall the lgobalist regime of the last 40 years will take time.

Can you tell me when I said anything differently.

Foolish L's though will evaluate immediately because they just don't get it.

Let's set aside China for the moment. It's clear to me the goal from y'all is to destroy China. Fine. At least its a strategy and I can be talked into the long term necessity.

What are y'all looking for from these trade agreements with the 70 other countries? What constitutes a massive win?

Help us Panicans understand why we were (are) held hostage.

Not hte centuries of super reliable data that you have thats for sure.

But I will be waiting for the excuses when Trump ushers in an era of prosperity starting in 26.

ALL RANDOM EVENTS!
Can you explain to me like I’m 5 how putting insane tariffs on every country that could displace China’s output was going to help usher in this era? Or how tariffing islands containing only penguins or a US military base was part of the plan? Or how multiplying 4 by 1/4 effectively measures elasticity of demand across all industries?

I want these countries to stop facilitating China skirting around existing restrictions (Vietnam). I want these countries to take down their own trade barriers and truly open up markets to American sellers. But even after that - I want a baseline tariff on all these countries because they should have to pay a premium to access our markets. It shouldn't be Americans fault that we demand more compensation for our labor.

Such a leftist - Care more about process as opposed to end results.

Thats why you guys can't ever get anything done.

The end result is clear. China is isolated with the largest tariffs they've seen. US is closer to trading partners all over the world.
