I have no sympathy for Trump's policies and reactions to his policies negatively impacting Musk, he had to know this was coming.

Seems like an opportunity for exporters then since countries are looking to now have more balanced trade with the US
But are the citizens of those countries looking for more balanced trade with the US? The thing that I still don’t understand about this obsession with trade deficits is that while trade barriers such as tariffs or explicit legal restrictions obviously influence the market, there still has to be customers looking to buy American products to balance trade. What if that demand doesn’t naturally exist because we can’t supply it cheaply enough?

It’s the whole world - that’s a lot of people. I’d trade barriers (not just tariffs) are taken down then even slight incremental increases in available goods dramatically improves American exporters positions
