Economics Thread

So bad companies like Sony aren't charging US customers.

So bad places like NVidia are onshoring their business.

SO
SO
SO
BAD
I can't wait til like a few weeks from now when sony announced US price increases for you to spin. My guess is you'll say it's just to match EU pricing.

The Nvidia response also indicated a warm attitude toward Trump, as Finkle wrote the “first Trump Administration laid the foundation” for the recent AI revolution.

Yes - Trump winning the presdiency did not change their future investment allocations at all.

Imagine thinking that Nvidia would be making the same exact moves under the autopen regime.
My apologies, Nvidia has been playing you since January, not since liberation day.

I’m just wondering when we are going to see the doomsday destruction for the economic system.
Well, I can help you out. It won’t be in March 2025 or any month prior, so you can stop sharing data from last month as it comes out to support your argument.

Markets are forward looking - where is the calamity?

Here is a hint. We are about to usher in a golden age and I predict many of you will do whatever it takes to admit how wrong you were.

okay. I promise you I’m trying really hard to educate myself on the protectionist point of view of this wacky experiment.

But there’s no way you can say this

There will be ups and downs like I said but there is no breakdown of the global economic system (well maybe outside China) as has been predicted.

Oh and little tidbit for you Chop. As per Bannon (you can either believe this or not) Lutnick was Musks pick for sec of treasury and Trump put him as commerce secretary instead.

The bond market was self destructing and S&P down 20% in 5 days until Trump backtracked on Bull of the tariffs. The market is pricing in the probability he back downs more.

Or the market wrongly interpreted the strategy all along and is catching on?
