Gas looks to be dropping like a rock.

Should be good news for everyone. Saw 2.29 today

Predictions it’s gonna fall way further. Neighbor has like 15 C stores said it’s always like gambling

China will begin purchasing American soybeans again, press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Newsmax on Tuesday. That's something, she claimed, that "China wasn't doing under the last administration because they had no respect for President [Joe] Biden or for the country at the time."

Since 2017, America has exported more than 22 million metric tons of soybeans to China in every year except two. Those years? The first was 2018, when China cut off purchases of American soybeans in response to Trump's tariffs targeting American imports of Chinese goods. The second was this year, when China did the same thing in response to another set of tariffs imposed by the Trump administration.

In short, it is plainly untrue that China was not buying American soybeans during the Biden administration. During those four years, America consistently exported more than 26 million metric tons of soybeans to China.

In comparison, the deal that Trump recently struck with Chinese President Xi Jinping calls for China to purchase at least 12 million metric tons of soybeans annually. Yes, that means the deal Trump has hailed as "tremendous" would result in American farmers selling less than half as many soybeans as they did during the Biden years.

There’s a problem in farming right now-

We have out technologied the worlds ability to buy. Everything’s too complicated.

Cotton pickers @ 1.27M and you can’t work on them without a whole computer set up from the dealer. Gone are the days of a 20 year old tractor and fixing it yourself.

Your standard harvesting tractor is 290-385k

The payments on all that is crazy even though it’s GATE purchased.

There arent but a few nations in the world that can buy a peanut for what it costs to produce.

Gee - I wonder how this is happening despite almost twenty years worth of “we need to build more to reduce prices”. Mass deportations is a panacea for almost all of our ills.

Nobody cares a one time purchase is 5% huger when their monthly housing is down over 10-20%.

Just wait till PE starts unloading their inventory.

This coupled with gas. The plan is all coming together and it all started with thr BBB.

What are your thoughts on Trump trading Nvidia chips to China in exchange for soybeans?

I’ve always said I don’t like everything Trump does. Expecting a politician to do 100% of what I want is not the bar I set.

So far on the whole it’s been an amazing administration. Benefits are rolling in.

It seems you have a habit of looking over catastrophic decisions as marginal and then celebrating marginal decisions as amazing

Corporate layoffs are higher than the great recession.

He's doing farmer bailouts due to tarrifs like he had to do the first time

Americans are spending more money on goods and receiving less goods

Inflation remains high

Deficits are all time high

The economy sucks

None or his policies have been put into law

If his policies are all about crippling China, and AI and robotics are what will save us, trading our one advantage (chips) for soybeans to bail out China is catastrophic

I’m well aware of your position. It’s perfectly reasonable. I just disagree on what the final outcome of this all will be.

Housing and gas are down now and continue to go down. More money in people’s pockets while Americans get all the job gains.

I mean I guess its easier to just not adress the argument

Anything positive is proof of amazing policy. The litany of negative is just "well we just disagree"
