Economics Thread

Sort of the like the realty of the increase in median real income for thr 21st century was due to globalism right?
Is your contention we would’ve been even better off across a host of economic measures without globalization? Because I was told I couldn’t use that argument in regards to tariffs.

But how do tariffs specifically help median incomes?
Have to pay Americans to do more production than chjnese slaves. The graph shows pretty clearly a big spike once Trump came into office and tariffs are a pillar of his economic policy.

We are seeing real median wages go up again. Most be lucky?

Ok, I’m glad we’ve established that sane people are allowed to argue the economy would be better off without tariffs, even in cases where economic indicators are trending positively.

Tariff discourse has grown stale. I’m more interested in what exactly makes aces (and other libertarians) leftists.

I saw the comment the other day we were like religious fanatics and I understood and appreciated the sentiment.

I just need a little bit of help understanding the lefty angle (mid IQ struggles ya know)

Polis support was my first curiosity about him.

Then I remembered Mets board and am almost sure he was a leftist but that’s when he was younger and I was more left leaning as a younger man too

My Polis “support” was to point out that he is better than most other national (D). He’s pro school choice, he’s lowered Colorado’s income tax, he’s pro-trade, and he was way better than any other (D) governor during COVID.

I’d vastly prefer him to be a prominent (D) when the alternatives are Newsom, AOC, etc.

Apparently this makes me a leftist.

And you’re incorrect on my history. Unlike you, I’ve never been a (D) or even vaguely leftist. I was a registered (R) from the day I turned 18. When the party decided to elevate populists, with their leftist economic tendencies, over the Paul’s and Amash’s of the party, I registered as an independent.

As usual, you have a high level of confidence speaking about a subject that you’ve got very little knowledge about.
