Economics Thread

Again, have to wonder what was in the discarded pandemic handbook .
We could be well past our current situation.
Would you agree ?

A magic playbook that had a solution which nobody has discovered. What a joke. Take our NY and NJ and the US handled it better than anyone.

The solution was preventing it from getting out of China. El Presidente waited for it to get out of China before doing anything. Now you want to argue no one could have done a better job handling it once it got out. Thata horse****. Trump was demanding Obama step down for 2 deaths from Ebola.

Why hasn't Obama or Biden released to the public what their magic playback had in it.

Far as I can see Bidens plan is to simply tell people to wear masks, test a lot, and don't discourage lockdowns.

So ya know, what we've been doing all year

And if they had the magic bullet shouldn’t they be prosecuted for crimes against humanity for not letting us know. We need to get to the bottom of this!!!

What steps do you believe Trump should have taken to force China to lockdown Wuhan?

Jeff Bezos could give every Amazon employee $105,000 and still be as rich as he was before the pandemic.

Instead he's denying paid sick leave to his employees —

and has already subjected nearly 20,000 warehouse workers to Covid-19.

Demand Congress tax the rich, and shop local.

Define tax the rich. What % you wanna tax the rich, and who do you consider rich?

the pretty much polite number used as a base since Occupy of 2010-11.
is 1-2 % on everything over $50M
//////////////////

my personal opinion ?
97% everything over $10M
the first example is up for debate - in that those numbers are on the public table
The 2nd, I aint budging
How do we as a nation justify any wealth over $10M per year while fellow citizens sleep in the street ?
nor will I get what I want
///

like I said, the 1-2 % on everything over $50M has been in the public conversation since 2010-11

Well I was asking you. Do you have an actual opinion or do you need Twitter to help you?

It is hard to discuss issues when everytime something comes up it has to be explained again in detail.
This isnt a new concept and was a main plank of (D) primary candidates, to point, the runner up
In this case as many characters it took to ask me .
could have simply googled "tax the rich" read up on it, and we could have had a conversation
and I might have learned something

and let's be clear, the term "extreme wealth"
which is what makes the post on Besos is so astonishing.

Thanks for answering. I think 97% over 10 million is ridiculous, but I can respect you at least laying it out there.
