Elder leading us to a series win. 6/22 GDT

Elder just never learns when it comes to walks. He's just a tremendously stupid pitcher when it comes to the basics.

When elder has to worry about giving up 2 or less vs the marlins, it isn't an elder problem... it's an offensive problem, and it's been a problem for over a year.

how can they continue to let Harris stay up? He should be down to try and save his quickly sinking career. He's Christian pache now

Before they come home to play Philadelphia, I'd like to see Verdugo DFA'ed and Harris back to AAA while Kelenic is back up and to see what Carlos Rodriguez has for a week before Profar is back.

Not expecting Kelenic or Rodriguez to amount to much, but I'd like to see some change.

The Braves are very close to having 4 guys in the everyday lineup with an OPS that starts with 5. That’s unfathomably terrible.
The depth of this team is horrible. There's no realistic options to replace these guy except maybe nacho for Ozzie

Elder at 70 pitches through 4 innings against this AAA squad and had squandered two different leads. He sucks.

For reference…

There are currently 160 qualified hitters in MLB. Only 7 of them, or about 4% have a sub .600 OPS.

The Braves have 2 of the 10 worst qualified hitters in MLB in Harris and Albies.

Dropping the PA limit to 150 includes 220 MLB hitters. The Braves have 4 of the worst 22 hitters in terms of OPS. That’s almost half the lineup in the bottom 10% of the league offensively.

It’s almost impossible to have that many terrible hitters in the lineup at the same time. AAAA hitters can perform better than that.

And because the Braves have such big holes at SS, LF (depending on Profar's performance), Harris' decline on offense, and the bullpen, Ozzie's club option looks pretty safe to pick up for next year.

And yet, they continue to run these guys out everyday. I would rather see kelenic suck for a month than see Harris. Bring up nacho and start him at 2b 2-3 times a week.

This team is realistically 3 bats away from a playoff caliber offense. Profar without the juice probably isn’t great, but maybe can be one of those bats.

Then AA needs 2 more bats.

If sale is out the rotation isn’t good enough to do anything, so I’m glad he got to throw 120 pitches to get that 26 out game. Great managing there Snit.
