Elder leading us to a series win. 6/22 GDT

AA has been adamant at not trading players who he has extended, so I can easily see this same Baldwin/Murphy combination opening day 2026.

The question is: Is there someone on the AAA coaching staff good enough to teach him pitch recognition and plate discipline? If not, what are you accomplishing by sending him down? The Braves are already proving that they‘re okay with him learning on the job.

AA tied his own hands with unnecessary extensions, trading for Murphy, and trading for kelenic. Braves have given AA lots of money and crap load of talent to work with. He's failed
The difference between the Braves and Mets money is insanely different lol. Nobody and that includes people on this board could see Harris falling like he has. And Albies contract has been a steal his entire career. So we traded for Murphy ok, that contract could be traded easily.

Well, AA says he won't trade extended players, so again, he's tying his own hands

If you extend players then trade them then you are letting future players know that they aren't safe here either and that's a really bad look. Murphy and Baldwin are just fine at C and DH rotating out and letting Ozuna walk.

You literally just said to trade Murphy

I really don't think you should limit yourself at DH like that though. Acuna will likely need to DH some soon, and Austin Riley's defense this season makes him look like a future DH candidate, too.

I agree....I get Sean has a decent OPS and some other weird sabermetric that folks use to justify his existence, but that dude is not a good hitter and is wildly inconsistent at the plate ....He's a terrible DH option in my opinion.

He was great in a full time role. As soon as we started the play a day/sit a day deal, he's been terrible. Baldwin is cheap and good, so move Murphy

The disheartening thing is this team could go 6-1 this coming week against the Mets and Phillies and I guarantee they would turn around and go 5-7 against the Angels, O’s, A’s, and Cards

I like Murphy but 15 million could go a long way helping SS, LF or SP in the offseason. You'll need to get a good backup C in the offseason and somebody with a good bat that can DH. Good thing with 2 good hitting C is rotating them there and letting Ronald rotate through there also. Murphy is the kind of guy that needs a lot of at bats and not being platooned like he was last year and is this year now. Let Ozuna walk in the offseason.
