3 cops AND the EMT arrested for murder finally. He walked to the gas station and bought a drink. Walking home with the bag from the store in his hand someone calls 911 on him but doesnt allege that he has done or is about to do anything wrong. Cops show up and because he doesnt immediately stop they go hands on then yell out he is going for their gun and really start beating him up. Seriously wtf. This is what I talk about when I say sometimes there isnt a problem until the cops show up. Literally just walked to the corner gas station but because some nosey mother****er calls 911 and doesnt even claim he is committing a crime is enough for all you right to be taken from you by a cop. These cops escalate to violence extremely quickly then make **** up to justify it afterwards like yelling that he is reaching for their gun. Thats bullcrap and we all know it. This kid is rightfully upset so they bring in an EMT to inject him with ketamine and he dies. DA orginally cleared them of all charges. A special prosecutor convened a grand jury and all 3 cop and the EMT were indicted.



It is a case like this that should have gotten the George Floyd treatment. This kid wasnt a criminal. Wasnt committing a crime and wasnt doing anything to cause a reasonable person to be suspicious of him. They say he was suspicious for wearing a ski mask..... a year later and not wearing a mask gets the cops called on you.... I can only imagine if this cop was paired with a mental health professional Elijah is alive today.
 
Thank goodness. Doesn’t change the fact that he died, but everyone involved needs to be held accountable.
 
What makes this case groundbreaking is that the EMT was charged too. I think thats very iffy. If he can articulate why he would give Eliiah Ketamine and has a real medical answer he should get off easy. If his answer is "well the cop told me to do it" he needs to go away for a LONG time. What the offcers did was so egregiously criminal they need to use this exact case for training purposes. If the person who called the cops used 911 instead of the non emergency line they should also be charged with misuse of 911. A person walking on the sidewalk is not an emergency
 



Ground breaking ruling as the 2 paramedics who killed McClain via overdosing him with sedatives have been found guilty of negligent homicide. Elijah McClain was never accused of suspected of a crime. He was waking home from a gas station wearing a sky mask and dancing to music. Someone calls 911 and reports him as "sketchy" but does not accuse him of doing anything wrong. Cops show up and put hands on him within 10 seconds of arriving. The key here is that we have to end this BS where just because someone calls 911 on you all your rights go out the window. Cops never had any legal authority to detain him.

Cop convicted in the murder of Elijiah McClain gets only 14 months in prison. Again, Elijiah was never suspected of a crime. He was listening to music in his headphones and dancing while walking home. Cops put hands on him within 6 seconds of arriving then called paramedics to inject him with sedatives that killed him. And he only gets 14 months..... if Elijiah did that to a cop he would get the death penalty. This is what people talk about when they say unequal justice. How can it be 14 months for one person and the death penalty for the other.
