ESPN article on Braves to do

One of the only guys I can think of off the top of my head was Desmond. He could have been had for Ol Neck money and could have returned some value. But he has been BRUTAL in years passed. He has a Mel Upton type of comeback

he had a draft pick tied to him so there was no way.

I thought both Chacin and Norris were fine gambles.

Honestly people love to crap on Aybar, but I don't think anybody could have predicted he'd be this bad.

I said in ST that we'd probably regret not trading Aybar when we could because I knew he was in decline. Personally, I think one has to be blind to not see the red flags with him if they watched him the last few years. It wasn't hard to predict he'd have little to no value in a trade at the deadline.

That said, I liked the Chacin signing but didn't like dumping his so fast.

Freese is one that would've been a good signing for us, someone you can flip at the deadline.

Hey look at that, a team mired in the middle of a rebuild sucks. I remember these sorts of articles about the Astros a couple of years ago.

I know the minor leagues can only take in account for so much, but isn't the point of taking that, you know, your big league roster is kinda going to suck?

It's like criticizing a cake when it's still in the oven baking. Sure, you may have put too much salt in, but you really don't know until it's finished.
