I wouldn't have made this move. Just get through today with Janish at 3rd and CJ at 1st. Gattis needed the time to get his swing back.

Gattis getting his swing back is much better than Janish trying to hit especially with 4 of our major offensive producers out of the lineup.

I think Gattis should only play if absolutely necessary. Let's just get through today.

He did have a double last night. I guess they figure at least Gattis could help (unlike Janish offensively), rust and all.
Janish is a 0-4 waiting to happen. I rather see Julio Teheran bat four times than him.
Yea I don't like rushing him back at all. Easily could have played CJ at 1b.
Hardly rushing him back - he has already had 2 games at AAA - better he get AB's with the big club where it matters

I am usually the guy that says don't give anything away, but this is one game I would be ok with losing. Gattis needs to be ready for Friday. Three more days of wouldn't have hurt, especially with only one game in the balance.

Yeah maybe the DL will include a "rehab" stint where he can go to the minors and reteach himself how to hit.

I'm more worried about Freeman than I am about Gattis. If Gattis had a couple games without the injury bothering him he's good to go, he'll get his swing back. Thumb injury could be a nagging one.

I really hope if Freddie is injured and not just hurt he doesn't try and play through it. Obviously he means a lot to this team and with the entire OF out for a few days he may try and carry the team. Please just play when you are 100 percent Freddie.

This. Especially with it being the left thumb. He will feel it every time he gets jammed which can lead to some bad habits with your swing and trying to not get jammed.
