Extending Dansby

Hey, it worked with the last two threads. If the current trends hold for Braves extensions, Swanson might actually end up owing the Braves if they agree to an extension.

I would definitely want to see him do it over a full season. Pitchers are going off scouting reports of Dansby from last year. If worst case is he smashes all year and we have to pay a little more that's fine by me. He isn't an MVP caliber bat. We need to see where he settles in at.

If Braves could lock in Dansby for something in the 7m annual range, I'd probably be on board.

I'm curious what a FA deal would look like for him. Not sure I can think of a great comp based on present production.

He may be a bit tougher. He was a number one pick who got a signing bonus and he’s closer to arbitration. There is no reason we can’t get something done though and I hope we do.
