FanDuel Sports Networks Could Shut Down Unless Sale To DAZN Closes Next Month

From the above post
Specifically, of the nine MLB teams currently tied to contracts with Main Street, seven are expected to leave. The St. Louis Cardinals, whose missed rights payment last month was the first public sign of Main Street’s collapse, have already informed the company it will be opting out “barring a lucrative 11th hour ‘final, final offer.”’ The Brewers, Reds, Royals, Tigers, Angels and Marlins are also expected to opt out, with the Braves “considering” an exit as well. That leaves the Rays as the only MLB club “seemingly willing to stick with Main Street.”

Which teams have had their TV rights revert to MLB? Were they on TV or MLBTV only? Curious how all of that worked out for those teams.

I believe they were on both TV and and MLB app. I know the Padres, Diamondbacks, and Guardians were among those teams. I think the Twins and Rockies as well.

The Rangers did their own TV deal right before last season. Whether that’s an option for the Braves, not sure right now

read that the Braves opted out and now a free agent for broadcasting companies.

Wonder if they will bend the knee to MLB and get screwed or try to strike another deal or go in house.

Wow so we got to leave our horrible tv deal signed when Schuerholz was still GM a few years early?

It sucks we never got a big local tv deal before the tv deal bubble busted.

That was the deal that kept in giving.

That being said the Braves are in a good spot with The Battery while other teams are gonna get real screwed.

So the likely thing is the Braves, along with the other eight teams, will have their games produced by MLB. Fanduel,'s owners may give one more proposal tomorrow, but it feels like a desperate hail Mary attempt. Of the teams, the Braves may be in the best position. I won't rule out a try by the Braves to start their own network, but I'd be surprised if that were to happen at this time.
