Fangraphs Braves Prospect Rankings

First, I kind of want to know how TURBO was pronouncing Pache.

Second, nothing jumped out at me in that interview. He just seemed like a normal kid who isn't really great on camera (yet?).

I used to pronounce it like you would an Apache helicopter, sans the "A."

I was making that joke because he said that Riley had the best hit tool in the system and Davidson had the best power tool.

I hope Waters, Pache, and Anderson are good because the farm is trash outside of them. Probably bottom 5-10 after they graduate. Surely we will bring in college draft picks to make up for the terrible farm which will ensure we go from bottom 5 to bottom 1. Whoever decides our draft picks just let go of the wheel and told Jesus to drive. This isnt going to end well.

Huh? Farm is currently top 5 even after the graduations from last year. Pretty likely we'll remain top 5-10 this time next year, even if Pache, Waters, and Anderson graduate.

lmao. The farm depth is really good.

The depth is solid, though after Pache and Waters, there is a real dearth of potential impact players. Scads of dudes who look like they may be good, solid roleplayers may well not keep us in the top 10 among systems. But the major league team in that instance would be young and deep and buy us a couple of years to start refreshing the system.

Per fangraphs:

"The tide has receded in this system, and it’s currently shallow due to trades and graduations, and because of the fallout from the previous regime’s scandal, which has kept it from acquiring two years of international talent. Still as top-heavy a system as you’ll find in baseball, Atlanta has several promising, everyday type players at the very top of the farm but very little depth right now."

I seriously doubt we are a top 10 after Wright Anderson Pache and Waters. Not unless a few fringe guys become potential impact the prospects. After those big four it is mostly average to above average guys with no one being a top 50 type of guy.
