FIFA World Cup 2014

This is one of the worst matches that I've watched all tournament. The play has been sloppy, ecuador has been diving and playing chippy (pet peeve of mine), and the reffing has been horrific.
 
Ghana is dominating this game like they did against the USA. Just can't put the ball in the net.
 
Ghana showing why were extremely lucky to get a win over them especially after Jozy went down, Dempsey was playing half injured, etc. They're overpowering Germany with speed and athleticism. Shows you how hard our guys were working just to contain them for 90+ and we don't even have the talent Germany has. Interesting to see if Ghana can keep this up all game though.
 
Germany is getting plenty of chances. Ghanas defense seems to so aggressive that it gets them in trouble from time to time.

Ghana is showing why speed and athleticism can give you a chance but can't win alone.

You still need the technique and fundamentals and chemistry. Ghana is definitely putting on a show right now with no goals to show for it.

Germany is more seasoned.
 
I missed the first 20 mins, so I can't speak the that half of the game, but for the past 20 mins Germany has looked like the superior team imo.
 
That was a really entertaining half. Always had a stigma that the low goal scoring precludes soccer games from being exciting. I stand corrected.

Just imagine if you had a vested interest in the team. The ups and downs of a game will really drain you, especially with how much the ball changes possession and someone can score a goal instantly and turn the game around.

Also, because scoring isn't as common, goals in low scoring games mean a lot.

Find a club in europe to root for (more likely English Premier League), and I guarantee you'll be as invested emotionally in the team as you are with the Braves. I'm talking prospect development, signings/transfers, etc.
