FIFA World Cup 2014

Well hopefully you stay hooked. I know you're on long island but you have Redbulls and soon to be playing NYCFC you'll have some good MLS around you. Though NYCFC is ran by Man City and the Yankees so **** them.

I have the galaxy and still can't get into MLS. Although I don't like any la teams besides the Clippers, and that's just cause they have jj redick.

Thethe and toma if you guys are enjoying this then you definitely would probably enjoy club soccer just as much.

Having your own team to root for from September to May is amazing.

Not referring to mls but epl liga serie a bundasliga or ligue 1.

Best players in the world bar none.

Painful.

Bradley just gave that ball away in midfield for no reason. He did the same thing against Ghana and it almost got us there, too. He was better this game but still not good enough.

We will see....Its fun to root for USA. Not sure if I can get into club play. But the more people I meet in my professional life the more i realize how popular soccer is.

I'm normally a go all out for the win type of guy. I'm a lefty in golf and I play like old Mickelson, going for the amazing shot everytime over the safe shot, but I'm not ganna lie, I'd be ok with a 0-0 draw. Probably cause I just don't see us actually beating Germany, a draw I could see but a win will be tough. Granted I only watch WC and WC qualifying matches so I'm no genius on the topic, hope I'm wrong.

And ya there is still diving(Brazil vs USA last WC, was sooo mad,) but still less imo.

There's less diving because it's not as ingrained into the tradition of the country because there's less of a tradition. It's also really bad when women do it, they're not even remotely graceful about it.

Germany is one of the best teams in the world. There's absolutely no denying that. US would certainly be happy with a draw. But they need to play for 3 points. Getting out of the group would be great, but getting to the quarterfinals would be greater and winnning the group would be the easiest way to doing that. Not to mention the US would have the feather in it's cap of winning a group many thought they wouldn't get any wins in.

You can always do what I do. Follow the USMNT and their best players internationally. Like follow Toronto FC, Sounders, Sunderland, Everton, etc.

I would agree with that. Bradley has to play better. He was probably our weakest player on the pitch. He made his chances though but he did have more than one careless giveaway that's totally uncharacteristic of him.

I also felt he should have scored. He strikes that to anywhere else and it's a goal.

I am partial to Bayern Munich.

Lol pretty much, deep down I know he's going for USA, but he wants to piss me off.

I have a friend who roots for Germany because of his last name, he doesn't follow soccer aside from the World Cup and Euros. ANd his logic is basically he roots for good teams so he can stay interested longer.

So the United States didn't win because there was too much stoppage time added?

The US didn't win because the score was even at the end. And if there had been 4 minutes or 3 minutes of stoppage then that last cross wouldn't have came in (goal was scored at like 94:57 or something like that)

I know the goal came with seconds remaining. It just seems like there is always an excuse though.

No real excuse, just **** luck. Portugal had prettymuch every break go their way except for that fantastic save by Howard on Eder. I didn't consider the Meireles shot much of a challenge and I don't consider them not getting dives called a break.

I love club soccer, but it doesn't compare to the World Cup. The World Cup is amazing.

USA, overall, has played much better than I expected. We're outplayed by Ghana, but completely outplayed Portugal. Unfortunaly one player can make a difference and The great ones seem to come through when their backs are against the wall

Bradley has been my favorite Us player, but hes been pathetic these two games. Like he reds to be benched bad. Completely cost us two points with that giveaway.
