South Korea has looked pathetic. They've done well in possession when they've been up a man, but they're not taking chances. Too many times they had a potential chances to shoot but held up for possession. If Belgium gives Dempsey that kind of space he'll take shots and probably score.

Belguim are playing with 10 men and without their best players.
 
Netherlands also basically have a free pass ot the semis. Mexico and Costa Rica are good teams but not world class. Hope the Mexicans pull a spoiler but I doubt it.

Howedes has been playing LB, but yeah, hes a CB and to me it makes more sense to put Lahm there. play Kederia/Kroos/Bastain as deep lying mids.
 
Ideal backline is Anderweirl Kompany Van Buyton Vermalean with Witsel right in front of the back. The only one that played was Van Buyton. (though im not sure how hurt Vermalean is)

Meant LB. Boateng is at least Athletic enough to play RB. Algeria is fast and could give them some issues. I agree with your mids. Pigclimber isn't fit, but sub him out for Gotze or Schurrle depending on how forward you need someone to be.

If you have the right cable provider you can use WatchESPN app. Today apparently 1.7M americans watched the ggame on the WatchESPN app.

Also apparently you can stream it via Univision.

I'm going to say US 1-0 with an extra time goal.

US will be likely to lose but I don't give a ****. Until the US is out I'm a homer I don't care.

That said I'll pick the other winners

Brasil, Columbia, France, Germany (really only one of those 4 is hard to pick), Nederlands, Costa Rica (man did they get a lucky draw), Argentina

Will make for a really good round of 8 matches if that stays. I think the most likely upsets are Mexico, Chile, and the USA.

I don't have a team in soccer. If I were to root for a country it would be Sweden, Norway, or Germany.

Living in Europe for a couple years and seeing siferent countries gave me a different outlook. I don't hate the U. S.
I am not as in love with this country as I was before my time in the army.
