CJ Alexander tweeted that he's heading to Kissimmee this morning. Looks like they're bumping him straight to High A? Also talk on Twitter about Jenista joining him in Florida.

Would be a good time for one of the Braves house journalists to ask them about their minor league strategy. It's been extremely aggressive in promotions this second half. Easily as aggressive as anything Coppy's regime was doing.

Interesting numbers from Jenista...in 120 PA in Rome he has 3 triples and 4/5 on SB. He can run a bit, it appears. As billed, I suppose.

comparisons generally suck but one i read, months before the draft, said that jenista has a similar profile as george springer.

I think the smart move with Jenista would have been to stay at Rome ROS given how Florida can go but he's a college player, even if it's from a mid major.

Can’t recall where I saw it but there was a Minor league scout not impressed at all with h his swing

He should be dominant on that level.

As it is with college bats for me, AA is the level to pay attention to. So we won't really know with Jenista until he's there.

Yeah, he played at a mid major, but I still think A+ is the kind of level he should do well at.

same scout that said drew waters simply can't hit?

The FG guys often say that pro scouts usually get it wrong when they get their first looks at a recently drafted kid at the end of a long season for the player.

I'm sure that's a biased comment from guys who do amateur scouting, but it's something to keep in mind. I wouldn't put much stock into anything you see in a player's first taste of pro ball after being drafted, good or bad.
