I don't know if it's his fault or not, but a message has to be sent NOW. This is unacceptable to be this bad offensively.

Seitzer was praised last year for what he did but he also has to take the blame for this to. Having this many talented guys having career worst seasons at the same time is insane.

There's a severe lack of fundamentals at the plate with this team. We don't manufacture runs. Like, AT ALL.

Everyone swings for the fences every at-bat. Except for some reason, exit velocity is down and balls are falling at the warning track, unlike last year. Did no one work out in the off-season? Is the ball dead this year?

We don't steal bases, we get picked off when on base, we don't sacrifice guys over (not on purpose anyway), we're really bad with runners in scoring position with less than two outs, and I think we may be historically the worst ever with bases loaded.

Every single batter not named Ozuna is in a terrible habit of pulling the ball with every swing. Trying to hit that elusive homer 500 feet over the fence. Mentally, they're all just a complete lifeless mess, and that's Seitzer's job to pull them out of this psychosis. Or maybe they need a sport shrink.

In any case, I've just recently over the past few days begun seeing a few go the other way rather than pull pull pull, which I think may be Seitzer's influence seeping in with some of them finally. I want to see more of that, scattering hits all over the field. Then we'll see their team confidence return as well as homers and runs. They've got to find a way to manufacture runs better though.

Let's say they were intentionally screwing the braves... wouldn't it be easy to prove? Take a ball from every series and compare.

I don't know. It could all be statistical noise

Or it could be more that they aren't "screwing the Braves" as much as they are simply propping up some big market media darlings and using juiced balls in those games

Not to mention the ginormous lawsuit the Braves would file against Manfred and the League. Hell, the Players Association or even the Braves players themselves might sue the League. It would be an all-around ****-show. So, no, there's no way Manfred would even consider such a thing.

I just don't buy it. Manfred would be fired immediately if this were proven true

I mean we know for fact they've been messing with the balls in year's past. With the Braves and other teams being affected the Bally **** show, they could be giving the big market clubs a boost to keep ratings high.

I could actually see that. A warehouse find of several cases of last year's balls. Send them to the League's most profitable teams. Or maybe those teams had some foresight and stored away several cases of the live balls from last year. (I admittedly have no clue how any of that works or is coordinated with teams.)

Manfred in interviews hasn't been shy about how much he slobbers all over the "atmosphere" of Philly's playoff games. He couldn't stop talking about it in interviews the last two years.

Olson isnt far off from what is really his norm. A few fly balls hit a few more feet or in a small stadium and a few fly ball outs turn into homers and he is right back where he was in 2022. He wasnt exactly lighting the world on fire at this point last year then turned it on and had a monster year. A lot of our hitters werent having great years at this point in 2023. Ozuna and Harris were abysmal to start the year. Early in the year Acuna, Murphy, and Arcia were setting the world on fire. Getting that kind of production from SS and C kept the team from slumping offensively. Murphy and Arcia didnt hit jack **** after that but the rest of the offense went bonkers for the rest of the year.

The rest of the season might not go our way but there is plenty reason for optimism. Both world series teams last year and the Astros are all under .500 by atleast 3 games. We atleast built ourselves a cushion and atleast in the first month that the team is still capable of playing at a high level. There is still 60% of the season to go and then hopefully the playoffs. We need to be the best team in October not the best team in May and June. Even the WS 2021 team was struggling before turning it on. A lot of people thought we should be sellers then. Then we got hot and stayed hot. You never know with baseball.
