Braves are 12-6 which is a 108-54 pace. We swept 1 series vs the media darlings, won a series vs brewers/mets/phillies/nats and lost 1 series vs mets. I would like to do one of these for every 18 games which amounts for 1/9th of the season with voting for mvp and lvp which we can add up at the end if the year.

Cool idea.

Offensive MVP: Freeman

Pitching MVP: Harang, over Santana narrowly. Santana's peripherals are better, but Harang has thrown more innings.

Offensive LVP: BJ, in a close battle with Heyward. Not sure whether to include defense in this or not.. but if you do, BJ wins easily. Even without, Heyward has a slightly better wRC+ on Fangraphs.

Pitching LVP: Avilan, even though he's getting BABIP'd to death.

hitter mvp: Freeman, Justin, Gattis

pitcher mvp: Teheran, Wood, Santana

hitter lvp: Uggla, BJ, Doumit

pitcher lvp: Schlosser, Avilan, Beato

Maybe I should call it the position player award. Yes include defense. The idea is to get a better idea of who is the teams true mvp.

Freeman, Harang, BeeeJ, Avilan.

I was shocked when I went to check out numbers. We only have 2 hitters in the lineup with an OBP over .300. Something has to happen clearly the pitching can't keep up quite this pace (at least the starters).

The hitting will come around just around the same time as the pitching is regressing. We haven't had the greatest hitting start to the season.
