It's probably a bit of recency bias. I wouldn't have a problem with switching Chipper and Mathews between 3B and DH.

Haha. Albies is the best 2B in franchise history though. We’ve had some 2B with some one or two off good years, but none with the sustained success of Albies.

2B really hasn't been a position where the Braves have had a lot of top-drawer performers. Only multi-year 2B in the Hall of Fame is Red Schoendienst and he only played in Milwaukee a little over two years that were marred by injury and illness. Giles has the best single season with the bat for a 2B post-2000, but he rose and fell like a meteor. Hall of Famer Rogers Hornsby played one year for the Boston Braves (1928) and put up an 8.9 WAR.
