Freddie Freeman Appreciation Thread

We really need a Coppolella appreciation thread. Without that guy gone, we don't get AA and he's been the best GM this franchise has ever had. (sorry Johns)

It certainly appears Freeman may have overplayed his hand in an effort to hold out for maximum top dollar.

Braves got Olson, Yankees got Rizzo, and the Jays got Chapman...and those were 3 of the main suitors.

I feel badly for him in a way. Wanted the best for him, and as Enscheff said he seems to have overplayed his hand. Really curious to see where he ends up now, but I wonder how much he's regretting not taking the best offer that AA put on the table.

Is there a world where he ends up signing a 1 or 2 year deal with the Dodgers for a $40m AAV or something like that? I'm just not sure what his best option is at this point.

It’s worth pointing out- Freeman has already signed one 100+ million dollar deal.

He will be fine. I’m sure over the rest of his career he can eeek out another 100.

If the rumor is true that he had an offer of 6/180 and didn’t accept then he can go kick rocks. He said all along he wanted the 6th year. Nobody is gonna top that offer. If they were he’d be signed by now.

Your prediction proved correct.
