Fredi Gonzalez Supporters Thread

Since wren got the Axe there has been a lot of mudslinging in his direction about how all of this was mainly his fault...I wonder if there is any truth or if it is Bobby js and hart sticking up for their boy

If it was all his fault, why was he allowed to keep his job for so long? And did JS just turn into a vagina overnight?

If having the winningest team in baseball over the past 5 years isn't "the Braves Way" then I'm afraid to see what that is.

if Wren is too blame for everything, why did they just give him a new contracts just a couple months before his firing?

This is one of the reasons I think Hart-JS-Cox are giving Fredi another chance. We're still in by and large part a very young team with signs of immaturity. I've said before that Heyward is the only guy like that looks like a professional out there at times. The worst attitude I've seen from J-Hey is throw his helmet on the ground in disgust at a strike 3 call. He still hustles most of the time on balls in play, still gives up his body on defense, etc. Freddie can show some bad body language, as can Justin and BJ. Gattis looks the same no matter what 85% of the time, the other 15% of the time when he strikes out on a high fastball at the eyes he shouts profanity. CJ is LOL.

Simmons is clueless at times, but Simmons is a student of the game. I think he'll come around offensively and cut down on his swing and the double plays. I actually also think he's going to learn how to walk as well.

Walker quitting will help.

The first thing the new batting coach should do is get Simba back to hitting like he did in the minors.....which is very good. Then teach these hacks how to bunt.

Homeboy Upstairs might be exaggerating the magnitude of Wren's problems, but we've known about the problems for years.

JS might not have liked Wren's approach to running the org but its hard to fire someone when they're winning 90+ games a year.

Simba did the same thing in the minors by reports I've read. Maybe they're wrong, but he also had a tendency to overswing.

I find it hard to believe JS wasn't running the show with him.

Yep. Makes me wonder if there was some real fallout in the front office, or with Wren and the owners.

I think the Braves went way over budget and it was approved only with the asummption that they would be in the playoffs this year.

With Clark coming back it seems like another one who had a problem with Wren. I don't get it. Why did the Braves let him screw everything up?

It was much more profound this year, Zeet. Walker did nothing until the last few weeks of the season to stop it. Maybe he thought his job was on the line and start earning his paycheck the last series, the only time we actually hit the damn ball in smart situations.

"ooooh, I can collect a paycheck for 156 games and do crap, I will answer their questions know they would say I was full of schit and continue to do what they do, the last six games they listen so I can keep my job" He thinks.

Not.

Simmons drastically improved his BABIP potential this year. His LD% went down a but, but his FB% went way down, his IFFB% went way down. HE should have had a much higher BABIP and a drop in power. The latter happened, the former didn't.
