Am I having a flashback to a drunken blackout here, or did Neck play a few innings of 1B in the spring?

If Markakis or even Tucker could handle 1B at all defensively, Acuña has to be the call up.

And AA needs to go ahead and DFA Culberson immediately so that Snit doesn't have the temptation to start him in Freeman's place.
 
Guessing the x-rays came back negative but they want to wait on the swelling to go down so they can check him again. I'd assume he's headed for the 10-day DL.
 
I'm expecting to see some gritty play from Culberson at 1B. You guys may not have heard, but he is just a baseball player. A gritty baseball player. I also predict that stats do not tell the whole story on him, and that it's hard to place a value on his versatility.

Appears that Flaherty has the most experience at 1B according to DOB.

#Braves’ Ryan Flaherty has 28 major league games played (12 starts) at first base, Charlie Culberson has 3 starts at first base (all in 2014) and Nick Markakis has 5 starts at first base (1 in past 4 years)

grit, clutchness, veteran leadership and maturity...Culberson has it all...reminds me a lot of Laird
 
Bautista has 28 games at 1st according to DOB

The just-signed José Bautista also has 28 games (16 starts) at first base, played a few innings there over last couple seasons but last start at 1B was in 2014, when he made 11 starts at the position.
