FRIDAY MINORS THREAD 6/16 ... Two one-run losses, more Fla. rain

Since coming back from the DL Albies is 8/19 with a few extra base hits. Probably an OPS over 1.400. A couple SBs for good measure.

I suppose the folks that were down in him for "struggling" as a 20 year old in AAA will be back on the bandwagon soon.

Never been down on Albies, my concern is that he has mainly been performing well because he has faced so many lefties. Haven't looked st the actually stats yet, just noticed he's faced a lot of them since coming back.

Still think he will be productive as a MLer even with those splits, just would like to see some narrowing of the gap.

The HR off a righty today was promising though.

I am still super high on Albies. What he has done so far as easily the youngest player in every league he has played in is very impressive.

He is coming off a very serious injury so his slump to start the year wasn't surprising.I think he can be a 4 to 5 WAR player in his best seasons, 15+ HRs, has surprising power for his size which should continue to develop.

It's about a .350 swing in OPS between LHB v RHP (~.650 OPS) and RHB v LHP (~1.000 OPS); but while he's also been better hitting right-handed, his splits have never been nearly this pronounced, and last year were close to a .750/.850 LHB/RHB. If he can maintain something like the latter in the major-leagues, he'll be a dandy 2B.
