Braves doing Montilla a favor by moving from that gawdawful DSL team. His stats there were 0-4, 3.07 (team best) in 14 games (10 starts).

RHP, 19, from DR, 6-1, 170

How bad is the DSL team? Wins leader has 2 (9-way tie). Saves leader is 1 (five-way tie).

Gohara will be the first of a wave of pitching talent. It's going to be a lot of fun watching these young pups make their way in the big leagues.

Greg: How would you rank Atlanta’s Rome trio of Bryse Wilson, Ian Anderson and Joey Wentz?

Keith Law: Anderson, Wilson, Wentz. Case for Wilson over Anderson

duh. he's clearly a better prospect by performance at this point. people just forgot what they had known about anderson and decided since he went so early in the draft he must be a better prospect than he had been a week prior when he could have been a late round pick. all that and wilson is dominating the same competition anderson has been facing.

I don't think that ranking is intended to be a knock on either of those guys. Each of them are legitimate pitching prospects.

He should have never went down in the first place..

Like I wrote in another thread, he's on the 40-man roster already and those are the kind of guys (including Hursh who has struggled at the big league level) who should be the guys in the bullpen right now. Motte, Borders, and others will be gone at the end of the season. They sent Borders down and they should just cut Motte loose. Give Motte a pat on the back for his decent early-season work, but he's just taking appearances away from guys who might have a future with the team at some point.

Not sure who is "clearly better" in you view but Anderson strikes out more guys and has a lower FIP. Probably better stuff considering what people thought at the time. Likely why Law has him ahead.
