Indcredibly naive. The radicals are not going anywhere anytime soon and there are many more than you want to admit.. We have to deal with this issue immediatley.

Funny that there was very little, if any, talk of sharia law before WWI when the varied populations of the Mideast seemed to live in much greater harmony. It wasn't perfect, but to pretend that Western imperialism hasn't contributed to the current environment in that part of the world is what is frightfully naive.

Who is responsible for screening checked luggage? Airline or TSA? My guess is there will be some debate as to whether or not guns can even be carried in checked luggage after this event.

I personally have never said that the west is innocent. I do believe this was coming irregardless of our actions but we have fanned the flames.

Either way....we are where we are and there is no going back. This problem is multiplying before our eyes and if we don't get a handle on it our future generations are going to have an impossible task.

The "Euro approach" has been to isolate their immigrant populations and deny them rights, or basically exactly what thethe is proposing. Bet you France wishes they would have worked a bit harder to integrate those populations.

What are the issues that radicalized people?

How do we get in front of the issue without agressive forms of gathering intelligence?

I agree. The problem across the spectrum is that we spend too much time suspecting the innocent and not enough energy punishing the guilty. The way we solve this problem is with positive interaction and not with idle threats and branding.

Now how many Americans do you know who are capable of these sorts of very necessary things without race, gender, politics, religion, favorite sports team, or other "dumbing down" factors getting in the way? ;)
 
i literally am way more scared of an american killing me random with a gun or slipping in the shower than being killed by an islamic terrorist attack in this country

but the latter is the one that "We have to deal with this issue immediatley."
