Lol Sunderland. The long run of Bradford City continues. You know they're hoping to draw Man U or Arsenal next go around on the road. THe magic has to stop at some point ending at a huge stadium that will get them paid will make them happy though.

Gonna get some MLS talk started with the season coming up.

Still haven't really picked a team. Philly was closest to where I grew up, I used to like the Metrostars as they were the only team aside from the devils to play in NJ and rep NJ, so I don't think I can like the Red Bulls. Revolution are my local teamI can catch all their matches as NESN heavily advertises them. Though I believe Montreal is a bit closer to me. And it's hard to root against Jozy/Bradley with Toronto.

Revs added Juan Agudelo which makes them all the more intriguing offensively. But I'm shocked they didn't protect Patrick Mullins from expansion as he was just recently selected 11th overall in the Super draft.

ANyway it looks like the makings of a fantastic season. I can't wait for it to get under way. I do feel sorry for aces though. Red Bulls are seemingly in disarray.

The almighty Spurs needed a soft penalty and rebound at the death to take a point from West Ham at home.

Definitely most embarrassing giant draw. Even worse than Chelsea drawing Burnley cause if they got a weak penalty shout they win, not draw

I guess when you get tripped in the box, it's considered a soft penalty nowadays; who knew?

The Spurs are struggling after Europa/FA cup because of their lack of depth. Who has told you this before?

Wonder why they have ****ty depth? Probably from selling off their depth.

It was a soft foul.

They sold off their crappy depth and are attempting to build it up through younsters and cheap signings.

They are so much better than when they had Dempsey, Lennon, and siggy

Let's see, SPurs are 7th now in the table, with 44 points after 26 games. In Dempsey's season they were 5th in the table with 72 points. If you did the math there, that's 28 points behind where they were that year, meaning they'd have to go 9-2-1 in their last 12 games to match that point total. Maybe they're better long term, that's probable, but they're not better this year than that year. At least not so far. Right now they're well on their way to no Europe.

Spurs are 2 points out of Europe and 3 away from Champions League. Plus still alive in Eurpoa and in the league cup finals.

At this point, I'm just hoping there IS a season. I think there will be, but a short strike wouldn't surprise me. I read that the MLS players union only has $5-6M in the war chest, so it remains to be seen how long they are able to sweat out a labor stoppage.

RBNY could be OK...doesn't hurt in the short-term when two quality franchises leave the conference and are replaced with expansion sides. I'm expecting to make the playoffs as a 3-6 seed.

Spurs in 12-13 made it to the Quarters in Europa before losing on Penalties. If Fiorentina shuts them out today, they're bounced from Europa. League cup is kinda something, but no one cares about League Cup. They got bounced from FA.

And in 12-13 they were 1 point from Champions and 3 from lock into champions group.

Could be. My concern with NYRB is they didn't get any designated players despite losing Cahill and Henry. Not to mention the coaching change which could be a fiasco. Also I feel like they're holding out on the next big European player to come over who fits what they want.

I don't think the league will strike. I think they'll work with the Union on a compromise (probably another designated player and raising the cap for non-designated) becfause the league is in rapid expansion. Doesn't want to falter with launching NYCFC.

Liverpool beating City heats up the qualification race for Europe, but virtually locks Chelsea in for the win. Assuming they beat West Ham on the road, they're 8 points clear with 11 games to go and only CHampions League to worry about. This also makes the Spurs next 3 matches (Swans, QPR, and United) are super important for them as if they drop points against Swans or QPR, they'll be pretty firmly entrenched in 7th place meaning they have to take 3 points from United at Old Trafford. Now Van Gaal hasn't made Old Trafford a fortress like Fergie did, but you can't be too cautious.

I have to run to work in a bit, but I leave with one thought, Go Toffees!
