Which is silly. Crazy thing is that he could be starting for Man U. Especially considering they're going after Juventus's Vidal since Kroos seems to be going nowhere.

He left when he was 19 years old.....don't agree that he should have been starting. But, a big cub offered him a chance to play more than Man U were going to in that year.

Kroos is going to Real Madrid.

Just saw Kroos to Real on the feed. My concern is they're supposedly pursuing James Rodrigues as well. How many midfielders do they need?

On a US related note. Both Yedlin and Besler are drawing interest. Besler from less high profile clubs than Yedlin. Sunderland is apparently interested in Besler which would rock and for sure make them my EPL team.

Arsenal quietly having a great offseason.

First Sanchez, now closing in on a deal with French international Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle to replace Sagna, and close to finishing a deal for Khedira from Madrid.

Arsene Wenger's 10 year plan is finally working out, as we're actually buying players now.

Arsenal now has for CDMs, Wilshere, Khedira, Arteta, Coquelin, and I guess that's where you'd put Diaby too. Assuming they go with a 4-3-3 they have what for MFs say for the back 3 WIlshere, Khedira, Carzola and for front 3, Ozil, Sanchez and Giroud? Strong team but it seems like they have a few holes but at least they're improving depth which has been a big weakness. Still think they should have gone out and gotten a true striker.

Aaron Ramsey is in there.

And I'd never really rely on getting anything out of Diaby until he can show health and stay on the field. He's the Mike Hampton of Arsenal. Whenever he starts looking glorious he gets injured. I think a hamstring, ankle, ACL all in the last 2 years.

Arsenal haven't really lacked depth the last few years, it's a strong striker that we've lacked.

Ozil was frustrated working up front with Giroud, just because people expect Giroud to be like Suarez and run past everyone. He's a touch guy, who is better assisting and isn't going to beat 2 guys head on.

Walcott is returning too from knee surgery, and we will also have Oxlade-Chamberlain and the ageless Tomas Rosicky.

Looks like it's going to be:

Czeszney
Gibbs - Mertesacker - Koscielny - Debuchy [Sagna :(]
Walcott-Ramsey-Wilshere-Sanchez
Ozil - Giroud

We may still go out and get a striker... Loic Remy's name has been thrown around since the end of the FA Cup.

Arteta is toast. Very ineffective. Flamini gets too many red cards

Personally, I was praying Arsenal would've stolen Suarez from Liverpool.

If there's one manager who could control Suarez and mentor him, and get his full potential and teach him class it's Wenger.

Watching the Revolution play FC Dallas. Charlie Davies, what a blast from the past. Never seemed to get back to any kind of decent form after his wreck. He was the only shot the US had of a successful 4-4-2 under Bradley.

Liverpool supposedly close to Lovren, Remy, and Origi.

Origi kinda screams of a Andy Carroll where he may be sold for more than he's worth.

Other "hot" rumors are Hummels to Man U (would be a great move for both) Xavi is going to NYC FC. If they have Xavi and Lampard their midfield will be pretty awesome.

Madrid has too many midfielders.

Bale and Ronaldo starting out wide, then after them, James Rodriguez, Kroos, Khedira, Xabi Alonso, Modric, Angel Di Maria and a few I'm forgetting. That's too many. I guess you'd assume that Luka and Kroos play the deep lying,Xabi and Khedira play CDM. and James/Di Maria play for Ronaldo/Bale if needed or behind the Striker.

Weird soccer transaction the other day. Tottenham swapped Sigurdsson for Vorm and Ben Davies. Doesn't really seem to make much sense for Swansea, I guess they figure new purchase Fabianski and Sigurdsson would be better than keeping Vorm.

Also incase you missed it NYCFC is building up a sick team for next year. Joining David Villa, and possibly Xavi.

The question for me with NYCFC is will someone pull a Beckham and move to the US to try to become more than a soccer star. Starting in NYCFC is a great way to do that. Some thing VIlla is trying that but JMO he doesn't have the clout to pull it. An interesting rumor is Ibrahimovic. Though Zlatan has effectively said he's not leaving PSG early so he wouldn't make it for the debut season.

Also on th etopic of upcoming MLS teams, their patches rock.

Hopefully Atlanta and Miami keep it up. Also it must be nice to be Arthur Blank. He's gonna have both of his teams playing in a shiny new stadium in 2017. Wonder if they'll go the route of the big spender. Personally I hope they really invest in their youth system. There's a massive potential base of young talented players in the south that could be soccer converted.

Holy fracking Hell

This brings me back to a debate I had with gilesfan a few years back when I said Torres was shot, he pointed to Torres's age I said age is just a number sometimes in soccer and sometimes people just lose it for whatever reason. Missing like that is a key example of just losing it. Atletico or Liverpool Torres cooley slots it away.

Yedlin to Spurs sounds possible. Not sure I'm a fan of the move from the Spurs perspective. Hes a good athlete with speed, but just not very good, but only 21. With Walker, Lennon, and company ahead of him, he'd either be loaned or root on bench.

I don't want Yedlin going to SPurs. I agree 100% with Kasey Keller. It's a bad place to go and develop because player turnover is insane.

Think about it, 3 years ago their lineup was something like

Friedel

Walker

Kaboul

King

Assou-Akkoto

Sandro

Parker

Modric

Bale

Van der Vaart

Adebayor

Now only what 4 of them are remaining and what like 2 of them are starting?

In cool news, DC United and Sunderland are striking up a partnership. Kinda cool if you ask me. Gives DC and MLS a chance to gain some stature overseas, and lets a lesser BPL side get a club to pimp them out. I'm guessing there will be lots of Altidore advertising in the US. I would also assume that City will do the same basic thing with NYCFC.

Not Ade, crouch, pavlechenko

Shea cleared to leave Stoke either on loan or permanent. I hope it's permanent. He has great talent but I'd like for him to learn his chops at a club that isn't Stoke. I would love for him to go to Southampton. They really seem great at developing talent. Lallana and Shaw being a few big recent examples. Shea is behidn the learning curve of course. But we need him to get to a club who'll develop him, not let him rot on the bench.
