Steve Cherundolo retires from professional soccer, sad to hear. I though 2 years ago he had one more WOrld Cup in him, he just couldn't amke it back on the pitch after his knee injury. Sadly I think the same fate may fall on Stu Holden.

ALso forgot to comment, huge win for the Red Devils, RvP with a hat trick. Huge home wins for Man U and Chelsea keep 2 teams alive from the BPL in the UCL. I for sure thought that after the 0-2 loss on the road, man U was done, but heck of a comeback for thme and potentially eases some pressure off Moyes. Would be funny if they pull a surprise run like Chelsea did.

UCL Quarterfinal draw was setup to get the big 3 and one high spender to the semifinals. Bayern gets Man U, Barca gets Atletico, and Real gets Dortmund. Chelsea and PSG play each other. With no top squads (aka real, barca or Bayern playing each other, can even through PSG into that group) they're really setting it up to go through to the finals with as big of names as possible.

Sucked. The injuries are really taking a toll on the team.

Didn't help that the red card was at 15... it was cruise control for Chelsea after.

Team has fallen asleep at the wheel at Liverpool, at Man C, and at Chelsea. Coincidentally these were all 12:45 local British time.

They were down 2-0 before Ox mimicked Chesney

BPL is set for an exciting finish. For the title spot. the 3 most likely candidates are all within 4 points of each other, though City is certainly in the drivers seat with 2 games in hand. Arsenal and Everton are outside shots with a miracle that's basically impossible required for Tottenham or Man U to get to the top. For the final UCL spot Arsenal has the lead, but Everton is only 4 points behind Arsenal with a game in hand. At 8 and 10 points behind respectively, Tottenham and Man U are on the outside looking in. For the Europa spots, Everton and Tottenham have the 2 of them locked up. At 8 and 10 points behind Southampton and New Castle are virtually out of it making it primarily a 3 team race with the current 2 teams leading, and Man U only 2 points behind spurs.

For relegation, there are 10 teams within 10 points of each other. Cardiff and Fulham are the most in dnager of relegation. Sunderland has 3 games in hand on them and the 2 lowest teams not in the red WBA and Crystal Palace have 1 in hand.

I think it's safe to say Michael Bradley right now is the best outfield player the US has. The key to the US doing anything in the World Cup is likely going through Bradley. Obviously the goal scorers have to score too, but Bradley is the most important part, he's the one who creates the movement and chances though.

Kind of like the diamond midfield. DOn't know if Jermaine Jones is disciplined enough to play the defensive part though.
