Game 2 vs dodgers

This injury history speil always baffles me. Outside of his TJ surgery, which is common now a days, he hasn't had too much other than normal in season breaks.

06/22/2021 Finger 10-Day Injured List
05/17/2021 Hand Day-To-Day
04/14/2021 Hamstring 10-Day Injured List
09/23/2020 Ankle Day-To-Day
09/08/2020 Spine 10-Day Injured List
07/15/2019 Blister 10-Day Injured List
05/07/2019 Hand Day-To-Day
07/06/2018 Left Middle Finger Blister 10-Day Injured List

Some of those are "we want to skip you " DL stints.

The idea that he has an injury history that should prevent us from extending him has always been a silly uninformed position.

Its fine - Some never want to extent pitchers. There are some pitchers where the exception should be made and Fried is 100% one of them.

Once he walks out the door the Braves will be searching for 10 years for another pitcher like him.

I'm not saying we should or shouldn't extend Fried... I'm just telling you the most likely reason why it hasn't happened.

I think the reason we haven't extended Fried is that it takes two to agree to an extension. I can see Fried betting on himself.

Yup - We had a great window before he broke out.

If he makes it to FA unscathed he is going to get 30+ a season.

Blisters are not 'injuries'.

He is as healthy as it gets and has shown to be a stalwart for the rotation.

Guy should get a 6 year deal TODAY.

Top 10 pitcher in baseball.

Every time a player has a good game you make the same silly statements, so let's go over it again.

Fried is already controlled through 2024, which covers his age 28-30 seasons.

Definitely the first time I’ve mentioned this.

Shame we never traded him in a package to get Odorizzi.

It's a great thing the Braves didn't (there is no we).

Once again you confuse "the package something would require" for "something the team should do". Misunderstanding facts so you can apply them to your narrative is common though, so it's unsurprising.

Sure sure.

Stop throwing around insults for no reason and I’ll stop bringing up the fact you proposed trading a top ten pitcher in their prime and the silver slugger at third base for scrubs.
It’s ok if you don’t agree with people.

Your nastiness is what I care about.

Would be interested to see the analysis on Fried's pitches yesterday. Just seems like something in his change-up was beyond any level its been before. Scary how dominant he looked.

I felt the same way. He had a couple of changeups last night that just seemed like a completely different pitch for him. Maybe he just had a really good feel for it, but if he adds that to his typical mix he's even more scary than usual.

It's funny because you still can't understand the difference between someone saying "A burrito costs around $3" vs "You should buy that burrito for $3".

The misshapen grey matter between your ears physically can't process the electrical charges required to understand when you misapply facts to your preconceived notions, and yet you carry on like you've somehow proved something.

A quick search will find I was always hesitant to see Fried dealt, specifically due to his ability to spin breaking pitches. Another search will show I was only for dealing Riley in the event of an overpay by the other team.

Again, stating he would likely be part of a required package is not equivalent to saying I think he should be dealt. Is there any chance that is sinking into that void in your head?
