Game 7 Circle of Trust

I like that we are facing a lefty. RHH Albies and Camargo could do some damage. Golden Wrens gonna have a yuge game.

Bonus trivia question: Name the Golden Wrens on the roster.

If we lose will anyone consider this season a failure?

It would be really disappointing but it would be hard to call it a failure. Our starting rotation completely fell apart and but we were resilient and made it to game 7 of the NLCS. Lots of our young prospects have made excellent progress as well. Anderson has been amazing and Pache has given us more then we could have hoped for in the playoffs and seeing Bryse preform like he did in game 4 gives us a lot of hope for his future. The arrow is definitely pointing up for us.

No, but it will disappointing. This has been our best opportunity to win a pennant in a LONG time.

In the end we lost a Kyle Wright start, bullpen game and a 50/50 game. If we lose tonight it will be with a rookie starting pitcher in a Game 7.

I am with you that it’s a disappointment, but at least the players have far exceeded any reasonable expectation.

I'm happy of this postseason, whatever happens tonight.

To think the Braves would be challenging the Dodgers to reach the world series on the day Soroka got hurt was a pipe dream, but here they are, and what they achieved was amazing.

We had never seen 12 playoff games in a single season this century and even if we lose tonight, calling it a choke job, like this board will, is unfair.

Our rotation has been outstanding and gave us a chance to win in 10 of 11 games so far. Not bad considering none of them had ever started a playoff game before (and one hadn't even started a mlb game).
Our bullpen has been great, like it was all year, and didn't blow but one lead out of 9 chances.
Our bats were pretty good, certainly way better than any other playoff offense we had this century, also considering they faced great to elite pitching most of the times.
We didn't have particular defensive errors that costed us games, and Snitker didn't take any dumb decision.
Umpires didn't call any infield fly...

So, in the end, if we lose tonight it's simply because the Dodgers have been the best team in baseball this year, and it's not like the Braves were swept.

I will record the game (too late in my time zone), and watch tomorrow, suffering in silence. See ya tomorrow as the NL champs, or for 2021 opening day.

Go Braves!

I just disagree with you. Taking out of one our LHHs seems like a bad idea in favor of a much worse hitter who is rh

There is no way Culberson is a MUCH worse hitter than Markakis. Markakis has lost all his power, and he even seems to be struggling with his eye at the plate. The guy is terrible at this point in his career/year. I hate that it has come to that, but it has. That said, there is no way he isn't starting, so I hope he proves me wrong and actually goes off like mad today.

Odds are we will lose tonight, but these are the moments that makes following sports worth it. There’s that small chance this is the game we talk about 30 years later (e.g., Sid Slid).

Tonight could be Ian Anderson’s “Josh Beckett” game. We might look back at today as the moment the new “Big Three” emerged.

Or the Braves lose 8-2.

I will consider this season a success if it leads to getting Kyle Wright off the team. Last thing we need is another year of counting on him to not be a Melvin. Addition by subtraction. If we go into next year expecting him to be a rotation piece I will probably skip the season again.
